Harvesters

The Harvesters Department consists of classes for individuals. There are three ladies classes taught by Mrs. Shirley Parker, Mrs. Marge Guy, and Mrs. Sarah Pigott. Dr. Ted Wieler, Pastor's assistant and department director, leads a class for men. The classes are conducted as a guided discussion group with ample opportunity for your questions growing out of the morning's text to be raised and answered (either in the class by the others attending or as a follow-up the next week). The study topics, generally conducted in 13-week quarters, are used throughout the Harvesters Department (so a husband and wife may attend separate classes but study together during the week and compare notes on Sunday afternoon). The in-class discussion begins where the Student Booklet ends. The classes meet in the lower level classrooms. The expectation of the teacher in all classes is that you will come to class having read the Student Booklet and, more importantly, the Bible text. This allows for the discussion to be heavily focused on application of the principles to daily life (answering the "That's interesting, but so what?" question) as each member of the class seeks to "walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called" (Ephesians 4:1).
