The Fairfax Baptist Temple Academy (FBTA) is a private Christian school offering K4 through 12^th grade.  Upon opening its doors in September 1976, FBTA has remained a place that not only provides opportunities for a strong, solid education, but also has provided a haven for young people as they grow and mature in the things of the Lord. Through decades of pursuing the highest goals in every area of a student’s life - spiritual, mental, and physical - our commitment to excellence remains uncompromised.

Each member of the faculty and staff at FBTA are active members of the Fairfax Baptist Temple. They use their gifts and abilities to further the work of our Lord Jesus Christ through this local church. Their love and compassion for each student at FBTA is evident in and out of the classroom.

Each year 90 percent of FBTA graduates continue on to college, most of them with Advanced Studies Diplomas. FBTA students’ test scores are consistently above the national average. FBTA has an outstanding music program that allows students to develop their talents in piano, strings, woodwinds, brass and handbells and offers several choirs and two orchestras.  A competitive sports program is available for 7^th -12^th grades that include girls’ volleyball, basketball, soccer and cheerleading and boys’ soccer and basketball. FBTA is a member of the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools (ODACS) and competes against other ODACS schools as well as other schools in Virginia and Maryland in Bible, Fine Arts, Academic and Athletic competitions. FBTA is ranked with the leaders, whether in the classroom, on the concert stage, or on the sports field. Our facilities, including classrooms, computer and science labs, gymnasium and sports fields, are among the best that will be found in any school.

FBTA seeks to excel the most, though, in providing an environment that will foster strong Christian character. We have one standard: Jesus Christ. Our aim is not just to equip our students with training and tools for a successful career, but for a successful life centered firmly on the Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, the Bible and prayer are central to the school day in every classroom. Chapel services expose students to the regular preaching of God’s Word. A focus on world missions is emphasized and high standards of goodness, truth, decency and good manners are encouraged in each student. Dress is modest and is regulated by way of uniforms. Profane worldly influences such as vulgar language, R-rated material and rock or rap music are not permitted.
